Dr. Troiano was born in Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from State University of New York and earned his Medical Degree from Mt. Sinai University in New York City. He completed his internship and residency at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York City and completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. He completed a third year of Chi Beta Kappa, an honorary society that specializes in ERCP training at Indiana University Medical Center. He later continued his studies for five months sub-specializing in endoscopic ultrasounds. Dr. Troiano is board certified in Gastroenterology and is a member of:

Dr. Troiano's areas of special interest are pancreato-biliary endoscopy and gastrointestinal cancer.
He is an avid surfer and triathlete; and is married and has four children.
