Dr. Haynes was born in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from DePauw University and earned his Medical Degree from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Haynes is a member of:

- American College of Gastroenterology
- American Gastroenterological Association
- American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
His areas of special interest are Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis and management of chronic liver disease.
He enjoys hiking, camping and spending time with family. He is married and has 2 children.
Dr. Haynes joined IG&H in July of 2005.
