Dr. Cheng
Dr. Cheng was born in Philadelphia, PA. His family moved to Dallas, Texas where he was raised. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Magna cum laude from Brown University in Providence, RI and earned his Medical Degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He completed his internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at the University of California in San Francisco, CA, which included ERCP training.

He is a member of:

  • American Gastroenterological Association
  • American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

His areas of special interest are inflammatory bowel disease, ERCP and functional gastrointestinal disease.

He has had several publications in his areas of interest including a book chapter on radiographic evaluation of pleural disease.

Areas of interest include cooking, racquetball and traveling. He is an avid sports fan, including the NFL, NHL and EPL.

He is married with two children.

Dr. Cheng joined IG&H in August, 2009.
